About Isabella
I am a student studying Spanish Italian and European Studies at the University of Bath. I am currently in my third year.
In Summer 2017 I worked as an Au pair in Lucca, Italy, where I was required to teach the child English and help her with her English summer work. I have also helped out students with their Spanish at my school when I was completing my A-levels. I also did a 2 day TEFL course, as an introduction to teaching English to foreign people therefore I have a basic understanding of the criteria I would need to cover within my lessons.

I believe the best way to learn a new language is by talking it (a lot!), I have found it is the most affective, when the students are constantly hearing me talk English (even if they do not understand at the beginning) their ears are taking in English and it gradually starts to make sense. Songs and films / tv shows I find are useful too, for example I bought the Italian girl I was tutoring her favourite dvd, but in English. It was useful because it allowed her to be much more engaging with learning English, as she was watching a film that she loved to watch, therefore it was enjoyable at the same time for her.
