¡Hola!
I’m a doctor (PhD) and teacher of the Spanish language.
I have over 10 years' experience teaching, which includes primary, secondary and third-level public and private education systems both in Ireland and Spain.
I teach ALL the nuts and bolts of Junior and Leaving Cert. Spanish - from the verbs SER and ESTAR to the SUBJUNCTIVE and beyond!
My EXAM TECHNIQUES sessions are designed to get you deep down into the fabric of each segment of the Junior or Leaving Cert exam so that you can fully understand exactly how to answer it and get maximum points.
After each class, I send a Follow-up email which includes: lesson slides/notes and practice activities.
All my past students exceeded their expectations in exam results and some of my current students are improving markedly from getting below 40 in exams to over 65 and beyond!

About the lesson

For me, the student is the boss! You tell me what you want to learn or improve upon, and I design my lessons accordingly.
My goal in teaching is to guide the student to her or his maximum potential.
This is achieved through a clear, engaging and dynamic step-by-step process. We start with what you may already know about any given topic of grammar or vocab etc. Then, I teach you EVERYTHING you need to know about that topic for your level (i.e. JC or LC).
Lastly, you consolidate your knowledge through carefully designed practice activities.
This way, we ALWAYS aim for 100% in our classes and we ALWAYS achieve it!
Mastery of the subject, then, is simply mastering each small step of your journey.
