About Alba

I am an architecture student with a multicultural background, having studied my degree in both English and Spanish. My academic journey, combined with living in various countries and now being based in the UK, has shaped my deep appreciation for languages, communication, and cultural exchange. Alongside my architectural training, I am passionate about art, literature, and film—fields that fuel my creativity and enrich my teaching style. I truly enjoy sharing knowledge, whether it's through teaching languages or exploring artistic expression. I’ve worked with both children and adults, and I always strive to make learning engaging, personal, and meaningful. As someone who is constantly curious, I am always learning new languages myself, which helps me better understand the challenges students face. I bring patience, kindness, and a good sense of humour to every lesson, creating a supportive environment where learners feel confident and motivated to grow.

About the lesson

I focus on a natural approach, creating an immersive environment where students absorb the language naturally. I also focus on real-life communication and fluency over grammar perfection. Encourage conversation, role-playing, and interaction to build practical skills. For this, I use different online tools that keep the lessons varied and dynamic. The lessons last from 1 hour to 3 hours, depending on the student's needs and age. My experience has varied between English tutor in Spain and Spanish tutor in the UK, teaching adults and kids aged 7 and over. For the kids, I created personalised lesson plans focused on building vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational skills in a fun, supportive environment. For the adults, I provided tailored English lessons in preparation for official exams such as IELTS, Cambridge, and university-level English assessments.

Alba has been a great teacher, she is charming and explains things very well. At first, I was a little scared and embarrassed to sign up for Spanish classes, but it was something I had been thinking about doing for a long time (two years, ha ha ha). Finally, I took the plunge and it's the best thing I've ever done. In 10 months, I've learned a lot! Now I'll be able to interact with native speakers on my holiday in Malaga, which makes me very happy, and I'm still improving. Alba is a native Spanish speaker and doesn't have a difficult accent to understand. She's friendly, approachable, flexible and makes it very easy. I would recommend her 100%. In fact, I've already told all my friends about her, but I also wanted to leave a review here. Thank you, Alba!!!! :)
