About Laura
¡Hola! Allow me to introduce myself. I am a native Spanish speaker currently residing in Adelaide, Australia, and I'm here on a quest to improve my English skills. While studying for my psychology degree online, I've also found joy in teaching languages.
IMy aim as a teacher is to give you confidence in your language learning journey. My background includes tutoring children and helping them with their homework, teaching English, Spanish and Catalan at college levels and I've also been a gymnastics instructor. I have a strong commitment to providing you with personalised lessons that will help you to achieve your language learning goals.
In addition to my passion for teaching, I also have a love for sports and cooking. These hobbies have taught me patience, precision, and reliability, qualities I bring into my teaching. I prioritize practical language skills and a strong grammatical foundation to provide a dynamic learning experience.
I have a friendly and outgoing personality which, combined with my knowledge, enables me to create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment for all.

I assess each student's individual needs, learning style, and goals to tailor my lessons accordingly. Whether you're a beginner or at an intermediate level, I will adapt my teaching to suit your specific requirements.
- Emphasis on practical learning: Practice makes perfect!, and that's why I encourage students to speak Spanish as much as possible during our lessons. We'll engage in conversations on various topics, which not only enhances your speaking skills but also enriches your vocabulary. The practical aspect of our lessons helps you feel more confident in real life situations.
- Solid foundation in Grammar: While I emphasize practical learning, I understand that a strong foundation in grammar is crucial for effective communication. Therefore, I ensure that we cover the essential grammar rules and concepts to help you speak and write Spanish correctly.
- Class lenght: My standard lesson duration is 1 hour, but I'm flexible and can adapt to your preferences. If you prefer shorter or longer lessons, we can discuss and adjust accordingly.
- My experience: I have experience as a tutor for children, where I helped them with their homework for a year. Additionally, I have one year of experience teaching English to beginners, and Spanish and Catalan to spanish students at school, which has given me valuable insights into effective teaching methods. For the past two years, I have also been a gymnastics teacher at a local club, which has enhanced my ability to communicate and instruct effectively.
