About Maria Luisa

Speak Spanish with Confidence!

¡Hola! My name is Maria Luisa, and I’m a native Spanish speaker and experienced educator with more than 10 years of experience in education.

I help children, teenagers, and adults learn Spanish in a friendly, supportive, and comfortable environment. Whether you are a complete beginner, an intermediate learner, or an advanced student, I personalize every lesson to your goals, level, interests, and learning style.

About the lesson

What can we work on?

Conversation & speaking confidence
Grammar made simple
Vocabulary
Pronunciation
Listening comprehension
Reading & writing
Spanish for travel
Spanish for everyday communication
Spanish for children and teenagers

My teaching approach

My lessons are practical, interactive, and personalized. I believe the best way to learn a language is to use it, so I encourage students to speak Spanish from the beginning.

We can use real-life conversations, practical situations, reading and listening activities, grammar practice, vocabulary exercises, and personalized homework.

Don't worry about making mistakes! Mistakes are a natural part of learning. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, motivated, and confident while learning Spanish.

I work with:

Complete beginners
Intermediate students
Advanced learners
Children and teenagers
Adults
Students learning Spanish for travel, work, school, family, or personal interest.

Your first lesson

Our first lesson is relaxed and friendly. We'll get to know each other, discuss your goals, and assess your Spanish level through conversation and engaging activities.

Then, I'll create a personalized plan to help you make steady progress.

Ready to start speaking Spanish? ¡Vamos!

Maria Luisa is a great teacher, and I really enjoy our classes. They’re always fun, relaxed, and engaging, and she makes it easy to feel comfortable and confident. I really appreciate the feedback she gives during class—just enough to help me improve without interrupting the conversation. Her written feedback is also very helpful and gives me something to work on afterward. You can tell she genuinely cares about her students and wants them to succeed. The value of her classes is outstanding, and I would highly recommend her!

I met Maria a couple of years ago, at the time she was giving lessons at the library. When she moved away, I asked her if she could give me private lessons by zoom once a week for 30 minutes. She agreed to take me as a student. I knew next to no Spanish at the time. Two years later we can have a 30 minutes Spanish conversation on different topics no problem. She is a fantastic teacher. She makes you feel comfortable and confident. I’m a shy person by nature but she has such a wonderful personality, she makes you want to talk and learn. She also gives homework tailored for your needs.
