Super Prof

Simon is one of our best Maths tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Simon

I am a specialist GCSE and IGCSE Mathematics Tutor covering the major syllabi:
- Pearson Edexcel GCSE Mathematics (1MA1), Higher
- AQA GCSE Mathematics (8300), Higher
- Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580), Extended
- Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Mathematics A (4MA1), Higher

While I study mathematics and theoretical physics at a university, I chose to specialise my tutoring purely on GCSE/IGCSE Mathematics instead of having to split my focus across multiple areas.
Thanks to this specialisation, I have been able to carry out extensive analysis and research in order to offer lessons structured around the specifications of both syllabi and to provide focused exam preparation.

About the lesson

My lessons are visual and utilise computer software, allowing my students to actually see how the mathematics unfold.
I also work with my students outside of our lessons through assignments, corrections, and further practice, all hosted on my private website, which serves as a personal hub for our materials.
Furthermore, I provide a supportive learning environment, which I believe to be essential for making studying less stressful and allowing students to make consistent progress.
I offer a free first lesson where I introduce new students to the way I tutor.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with Simon.

Perfect! After just a few lessons my son had with Simon, he rates him as an excellent tutor. He says that he breaks down the topics and exam questions he found difficult in a way that makes them suddenly manageable.

We were looking for a tutor and it seems like we found our match. Based on how happy my son is with Simon, I would recommend him to other parents looking for an IGCSE tutor as well.

Perfect! Simon immediately struck me as a very professional tutor who does the most for their students. He also gave my son access to his site where he supposedly stores all his students’ past material, this is very useful for my son who struggles to scribble down notes while also paying attention.Instead he was able to work well with Simon and really focus.

I would definitely recommend Simon as a tutor because he knows both the exam quirks for the syllabi he tutors and teaches mathematics extremely intuitively.

When Simon started tutoring me, I had only 2 months before I was going to sit the GCSE exams. Math was not my strongest suit; however, Simon actually somehow made doing questions feel like it's not even that difficult.

I loved that there was communication and help even outside of the lessons, so I never had to feel on my own for more than a couple of days.
Also the lessons are just exceptional. Very clean and structured and visually helpful. And the fact that I didn't have to take notes since Simon sends all the material helped me focus during the lessons themselves.

I appreciate Simon's patience, it happened a lot of times that I felt like I was never going to grasp a topic, but he just didn't give up and figures out how to make it click. It was indeed also the fact that he is very friendly and makes it feel okay to make mistakes and not understand something right away.

Simon is a very structured tutor. I was learning with him to prepare for my IGCSE exams. The fact that he knew a lot of tricks on how to maximise my marks was extremely helpful and it helped me on the actual exams.
