About Sajal
By degree, I am a CA. By passion (and by extension, choice), I am a teacher. I have imparted over 20+ years of my life training students in verbal aptitude for competitive examinations. But I have always considered the English language as so much more than simply a means to an end. It is the closest we have to a corporate lingua franca. As such, proficiency in the language itself is something one must strive to achieve without fail.

Although I started off as a chartered accountant, my fascination with the English language compelled me to complete my MA in the same. Over my almost 20 years of experience teaching, I have never actually viewed it as a profession but as a passion. I wish to inculcate communication skills as an essential life skill rather than something which one equips oneself with for an interview and then casually discards upon acquiring the same. In my lessons, I will attempt to instill a love for the language rather than just drill down on grammar for the sake of it! Sure, grammar is the foundation of all languages but in the absence of an actual bedrock of interest, such 'foundations' are actually baseless. But in a cluttered environment, wherein everyone is shouting over the other to be heard, no one pays a dime to listen. As such, listening to understand (rather than to reply) is very much lost in the current generation. I teach my students to listen for the sake of listening itself. My classes are open to all: Beginners who are just learning the ropes to college goers as well who wish to understand the language further than the basics.
