About Mussa

My name is Mussa, and I am a dedicated Swahili language educator with years of experience teaching pupils of various ages and backgrounds. Whether you're just starting out with Kiswahili or want to improve your fluency, I'm here to help you every step of the way. I enjoy teaching Swahili because it is more than just a language; it provides access to various cultures, history, and linkages throughout East Africa and beyond. My courses are dynamic, practical, and personalized to your learning style and objectives. I believe that language learning should be enjoyable, interesting, and meaningful. I've taught Swahili both in person and online throughout the years, helping students gain confidence in speaking, writing, and understanding the language. Every day, I'm inspired by seeing my students progress and learn to communicate in a new language. Aside from teaching, I enjoy reading African literature, hiking in nature, listening to music (particularly Bongo Flava!), and discovering new cultures through food and travel. I bring the same inquiry and excitement to every lesson.
