About Suhas

I remember what it was like the first time sitting in an exam hall, about to do my first 'proper' exam, with invigilators walking around; stressing me out and making me suddenly lose confidence in myself. But, I'm here to help guide you and tutor you so that you feel more prepared than ever. I'll give you tips and tricks that I used to help me get a 3090 UCAT and grade 8/9s in all GCSEs. I play badminton and tennis and love to go to the gym. I enjoy doing art as a hobby (I'm not very good at it, but it's fun.) I hyperfocus a lot, sometimes too much meaning I sometimes distract myself from my goals, but I've found ways to overcome this and to deal with all obstacles in my path, instead of just 1. Having just gone through the revision and exam process, I believe I am best suited to tutor you as I understand everything you are going through so I can definitely empathise with your situation. And finally, I'm friendly and have experience as a tutor so I know what I'm doing!

About the lesson

I have experience tutoring people aged 6 to 17 from starting to teach spellings and arithmetic to tutoring for Medicine entry exams such as UCAT and BMAT. My teaching style consists of highlighting weak areas using initial introductory quizzes and then using various resources to focus on these. I will also help you find the correct revision method based on how you receive and interpret information. I am a Medical student at the University of Newcastle and so I can help with UCAT and BMAT revision. By giving you access to revision documents I've made which assisted me in getting a 97th percentile UCAT score, I will further boost your UCAT revision over the summer to help give you confidence in your ability. Usually, lessons are 1 hour, but time-dependent can be longer 2-hour lessons. Having gone through the revision process for A levels, I understand your stress and can empathise with your situation. I think this mutualistic understanding between tutor and student is necessary for the best output from the lesson. It means I will push you to work hard but also understand when to give you time to process the information. I believe respect and communication are important for this and I promise to uphold these qualities throughout all my sessions. During each session, I use a framework to deliver the best result from each lesson: -Quick revision quiz from previous lessons to consolidate knowledge -Ask the student for any concerns about previous topics -Create learning objectives and a target for the lesson -Check knowledge and understanding -Consolidate knowledge with exam questions -Conclude the lesson with any questions and research points
