About Naveera
My main specialty is English, particularly essay writing, textual analysis, unseen responses and HSC preparation. I also tutor Mathematics Standard, with a focus on building confidence, identifying gaps in understanding and developing reliable methods students can apply independently.
I place a strong emphasis on exam technique and helping students understand what markers are actually looking for, rather than relying on memorized or formulaic responses. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and developing confidence in their own abilities.
I want students to leave tutoring not only with stronger marks, but with the skills and confidence to approach their subjects more independently.

I understand that strong results come from more than simply memorising content or following a formula. My approach focuses on helping students build the skills that actually improve their marks, whether that means developing stronger thesis statements and analysis in English or improving problem-solving, working accuracy and exam technique in Mathematics Standard.
Having completed the HSC recently myself, I have first-hand knowledge of the demands of senior school and the pressure students often feel when trying to improve their results. I particularly enjoy working with students who understand the content but struggle to express their ideas clearly, apply their knowledge consistently or perform under exam conditions. I aim to break difficult skills down into practical, achievable steps so students can see exactly how to improve.
