About Phill
I am professional, I love planning my classes and making sure that my students learn in them. I have been teaching for more than 15 years, most notably over in Korea, where I served as a Head Teacher for an academy for over 5 years. I have been teaching informally for my entire life, my mother was a teacher, so I know how to pay attention to my students and get them to where they need to be.
I also get results, sometimes you will not understand something immediately, I am patient enough to work with you to get there. Other times, you would grasp a concept very quickly, that means that we can concentrate on other areas you need to work on. All I am saying is that I will get you to where you need to be as a student, I am patient, and I also love learning.
We all walk through life one step at a time, and that is something that I make sure my students all understand. We take everything one step at a time.

My lessons are student-focused, driven by the students themselves. I provide a guiding hand, which helps students reach where they need to be.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans, and I am able to teach in both languages.
What students can expect from me is a relaxed class environment, where we engage with the material systematically. I have to make sure that you are learning, so there will be constant tests and assessments, but each moment you are in my class, you will be learning. And you, as a student, will also be enjoying yourself. I do believe that the more you love learning new things, the more you'd benefit from learning that thing.
I usually work with kindergarten and primary school students, but I started my career as a teacher by teaching older students. I am therefore comfortable with every level of student that comes into my classroom.
