About Jaianand
Hi, I’m Jai. I’m a marketing professional with 7 years of experience across some of India’s leading advertising agencies and brands, and an MBA in Marketing from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR).
I’ve worked on brands including Visa, Spotify, Bajaj Auto, ByteDance, Sony Pictures, Mondelez and Mumbai Indians, across brand strategy, advertising, digital, consumer insights and integrated campaigns. I’ve also worked in-house, building marketing for a real estate brand, so I’ve experienced marketing from both sides of the table.
That mix is what I bring into my classes.
I’m not here to teach marketing as a collection of definitions you memorize for an exam. I want you to understand the thinking behind it. Why does a brand choose one positioning over another? Why does one campaign become culturally relevant while another disappears? Why do consumers behave differently from what the data tells us?
I’ll bring real campaigns, real business problems, and the frameworks I’ve learned through both experience and my MBA into the classroom. I’ll challenge your thinking, encourage you to question mine, and make sure we don’t move on just because something sounds like it makes sense.
Whether you’re completely new to marketing or looking to turn classroom knowledge into practical understanding, you’ll get an honest view of how marketing actually works.

Marketing has a funny way of being either too complicated or too intuitive.
Sometimes we overthink it with frameworks, jargon, and endless terminology. Other times, something feels so obvious that we don’t stop to understand why it works. And that’s where we often miss the most interesting part of marketing: the thinking behind the decision.
That’s what I want to help you with. I simplify what feels complicated, and unpack what feels intuitive, so you understand not just 'what' marketers do, but 'why' it works.
I’ve spent 7 years working across leading advertising agencies and an in-house brand role, working on brands across categories and markets. I also have an MBA from SPJIMR, so my approach combines academic thinking with what actually happens in the real world.
What a class typically looks like:
• We start with a concept, without drowning you in jargon
• I use real brands, campaigns and everyday examples to make it tangible
• We break down the thinking behind successful and unsuccessful marketing
• You’ll work through cases, questions and practical scenarios rather than just memorizing frameworks
• We connect different parts of marketing, from consumer behavior and positioning to campaigns, digital and brand strategy
• Most importantly, I encourage questions. If something doesn’t make sense, we keep at it until it does.
The classes are designed for beginners, college students, MBA aspirants, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and anyone curious about how marketing really works.
You don’t need a marketing background. You just need curiosity. I’ll help you build the rest.
