About Nia
I have 6 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance. My academic background strengthened my understanding of harmony, rhythm theory, and structured practice methods. Through teaching students of different levels, I have developed a patient and organized approach.
I have guided beginners learning their first chords as well as intermediate players improving scale fluency and performance control. I believe steady practice, careful correction, and positive encouragement create lasting improvement.
My lessons are focused yet supportive, ensuring students grow with confidence. Teaching guitar allows me to combine technical discipline with creative expression. Seeing students improve their coordination and perform smoothly gives me strong motivation to continue teaching with dedication and professionalism.

My guitar lessons focus on building clean technique, rhythmic stability, and confident musical expression. At the beginning, I carefully adjust posture, wrist positioning, and finger placement to ensure comfortable and accurate playing. We start with basic chord formations and slow transition drills to develop coordination between both hands. I explain how correct finger pressure and timing directly influence tone clarity. Students practice slowly to build strong muscle memory before increasing speed.
As progress continues, we introduce scale patterns across multiple fretboard positions, barre chord development, and rhythm variation exercises. Each concept is divided into small sections to make learning manageable and clear. Song application is included in every session to connect technical practice with real musical performance. I focus on smooth transitions, steady tempo, and balanced sound production. Regular review sessions correct mistakes and strengthen consistency.
Performance preparation includes complete song practice with attention to expression and stage confidence. I guide students in maintaining focus while playing through full pieces. Over time, they develop stronger finger strength, improved coordination, and confident musical flow. My goal is balanced technique and expressive performance.
