About Rachel
Hi everyone! I’m a New Jersey–certified English/Language Arts and Special Education teacher offering tutoring for students in grades 4–12. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and strengthen their skills through supportive, personalized instruction.
I’m patient, approachable, and focused on creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is not only to improve academic skills, but also to help students feel more confident and supported in school. I also modify instruction to support IEP goals.

I focus on reading, writing, grammar, oral expression, homework help, and test preparation in a supportive, encouraging environment. Our first session is used to identify strengths, challenges, and goals to create a clear learning plan. Sessions supplement classroom learning and may include targeted skill practice, writing support, comprehension work, and homework help. I use ongoing practice and informal assessments to track progress and adjust instruction as needed. Every session is tailored to the student’s learning style and pace to build confidence and steady academic growth.
