About Afra
Hi, I’m Afra! I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a strong academic background in cell biology, molecular biology, microbiology, and genetics, and I’ve recently completed my Master of Science in eHealth. With several years of experience in both academic and professional settings, I bring not only deep subject knowledge but also a patient, supportive approach to teaching. Whether you're preparing for exams, tackling complex topics, or simply looking to boost your confidence in science, I’m here to help you every step of the way. My goal is to make biology clear, engaging, and tailored to your unique learning style. I take pride in being organized, approachable, and committed to helping my students succeed. As a tutor, my approach is centered on clarity, patience, and real-world understanding. I believe students learn best when complex concepts are broken down into manageable parts, connected to relatable examples, and explained in a way that fits their learning style—whether visual, verbal, or hands-on.
My Teaching Methodology
I begin each session by identifying what the student is struggling with or hoping to improve. I use a mix of interactive discussions, diagrams, practice questions, and real-life applications to make the material more digestible and engaging. I also believe in active recall and spaced repetition to reinforce learning effectively.
I bring not only a strong academic foundation in biology, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, and genetics, but also real-world insight from my work in the healthcare and tech industries. My experience communicating complex scientific information to various audiences helps me connect with students and present information in a clear, supportive, and encouraging way.
