About Britany
I was born and raised in Jamaica and now proudly call New Orleans home. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of New Orleans and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Molecular Medicine and Health Science at Tulane University while working toward my goal of getting into medical school. My academic background reflects a deep, long-standing commitment to the biological sciences and a genuine passion for understanding how the human body works.
As a tutor, I bring both expertise and empathy to every session. I know what it feels like to work hard in a rigorous academic environment, and that experience shapes the way I teach: with clarity, patience, and a structured approach that meets each student where they are. My goal is not simply to help you pass your next exam, but to build the kind of solid foundation that serves you throughout your academic career.

I offer tutoring for both high school and college students, whether you're working through AP Biology, an intro college course, or pre-med requirements. My sessions are personalized to your level and pace; we start by identifying where you're struggling and build from there. I specialize in cell biology and human body systems, breaking down complex processes, from how cells function at the molecular level to how the body's systems work together as a whole. I use diagrams, real-life examples, and targeted practice questions to make sure you're not just memorizing — you're actually understanding. Sessions can be held online or in person, and I'm flexible with scheduling to work around your needs.
