About Shrey Som

I’ve always seen mathematics as more than just numbers on a page—to me, it’s a universal language that describes how the world works. My journey with math hasn't always been about easy "A’s"; it’s been about the thrill of the "aha!" moment when a complex problem finally snaps into focus.
Why I’m Here
I’m teaching because I’m tired of seeing brilliant students feel "defeated" by math. I believe that mathematical talent isn't something you're born with; it’s something you build. I want to share my knowledge because:
- To Demystify the "Magic": I want to show you that math isn't magic or mystery—it’s a series of logical steps that anyone can master with the right perspective.
- To Build Confidence: There is no better feeling than watching a student’s face light up when they realize they can solve a problem they thought was impossible. That confidence spills over into every other part of life.
- To Bridge the Gap: Classroom settings often move too fast. I want to provide the space for us to slow down, pull the concepts apart, and put them back together in a way that makes sense to you.
I don't just want to help you pass your next exam; I want to help you develop a problem-solving mindset that will serve you long after the school year ends.

About the lesson

Approach is Different Because:
1. Visual Storytelling: We don’t just look at equations; we look at what they represent. Whether it’s seeing a derivative as a "slope of a hill" or an integral as "accumulated space," I use digital tools to make abstract concepts visible.
2. Real-World Context: I bridge the gap between your textbook and reality. From how Netflix uses algorithms to how bridges stay standing, we’ll see math in action.
3. The "No-Judgment" Zone: I specialize in "math anxiety." My sessions are a safe space to ask "dumb" questions until that lightbulb finally flickers on.
4. Gamified Milestones: We track progress through interactive challenges, not just repetitive worksheets.
