About Gonzalo
Math has always been my strongest subject; it is something that I’m not only advanced in, but truly passionate about. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Applied Mathematics, and I’ve been tutoring since high school. Over the years, I’ve helped many students improve their grades, build confidence, and develop a better understanding of math. I take pride in creating a supportive and patient learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn. Whether you’re struggling with graphing equations or just need a little extra help in an elementary class, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I tutor students from elementary all the way to Pre-Calculus by focusing on the specific material they’re struggling with. Each session begins by reviewing the exact topics that are causing confusion. I’ll first walk through the problem myself, explaining each step clearly and simply. Then, with each new question, I give the student a bit more responsibility - guiding them less and encouraging them to think more on their own. Eventually, the student is able to solve problems independently, which is always the goal. I adjust my approach based on the student’s learning style and always create a patient, encouraging environment. My goal is not just to help students pass, but to help them truly understand the math so it sticks.
