About Michael
Education has always been a significant part of my life, and as a dedicated teacher, I strive to foster personal growth, knowledge, and skill development among my students. My pedagogy emphasises determination and relatedness, encouraging a growth mindset in my pupils. I am a committed and hardworking teacher with a strong passion for education, particularly for students with social and educational needs. I believe that education can break down barriers and create opportunities for success.
With over eight years of experience teaching guitar, piano, bass, ukulele, music theory and music technology, I have developed the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare students for ABRSM, RSL, Junior, and Leaving Certificate music exams as well as GCSE music exams.
As an instrumental tutor and music technology teacher, I have created lessons, graded assessments, and run after-school music clubs. I have also organised musical theatre performances and acted as a music enrichment co-ordinator, contributing to the growth and development of my students' musical abilities.
