About Kieran
I am a second year student at the University of Exeter who studies Economics and Finance. I studied maths, business and economics at A-level getting AAA*. During my studies I also worked as a tutor and this led me as I came to university to continue tutoring independently taking some of my students from before. This has been so great I really enjoy getting to teach and being able to allow my students to gain a passion for the subject area or at least see that it is more interesting than they first thought.

I have had a lot of experience over my last two years tutoring to learn how to adapt lessons and be flexible to meet the needs of each student and so my normal approach is to work alongside their studies at school and help them in areas they struggle in. I am also flexible in changing that based on the situation as I have had instances where we will work through a section of the course that the student hasn't encountered yet to prepare them for it. I have also had experience tutoring a student through the whole of their GCSEs as their primary teacher in maths and science in which he performed really well getting a 65 in science above what he was predicted when he left mainstream school. I like to do a hands-on approach working through exam style questions with my students and then at the end of the lesson allow them to go and answer some questions on the topic on their own.
