About Arpine

Coming from a family of linguists and born into a trilingual Russian/Armenian/English family exclusively composed of teachers, I learned foreign languages quickly and witnessed various teaching methods from an early age.

The expatriation of my family to France during my adolescence forced me to learn French very quickly in order to reintegrate into a normal school curriculum. This episode allowed me to understand the difficulties in learning a foreign language and to develop techniques to integrate it more quickly.

Student in Regional Language and Civilizations specializing in English at La Sorbonne Nouvelle, I obtained excellent results which allowed me to be accepted into the exchange program with an American University which I am joining next year.

My many trips to the United States and my constant interactions with natives have allowed me to develop a rich vocabulary, an accent close to American and a fluency of conversation.

I also obtained a TOEFL score of 112/120, which is equivalent to level C1 of the CEFR, i.e. bilingual.

My passion for alternative educational approaches such as the works of Maria Montessori or Celine Alvarez have developed my ability to adapt didactics to the age and cognitive needs of each individual.

About the lesson

First, we will assess your level in order to adapt the lessons, so as to fit your age, your academic level and your goals.

The courses will be mainly in English in order to encourage your oral expression as quickly as possible, and the difficult points will be explained in French.

For the little ones, manipulation of objects and playful scenarios will promote engaged and solid learning.

One-to-one or small group lessons (encouraged for oral interactions essential in language learning).
