About Maheen

Hi! My name is Maheen, and I am an International Baccalaureate (IB) student with a strong passion for chemistry and helping others succeed academically.

I understand that chemistry can be challenging, especially when concepts start building on one another. That's why I enjoy helping students break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gaining confidence in their abilities.

I have experience tutoring students one-on-one through Future Female Scholars, where I adapted lessons to each student's individual learning style and helped them strengthen their understanding of core concepts. In addition, as the founder and president of my school's MedSearch Club, I have developed leadership, communication, and mentoring skills by organizing educational initiatives and guiding fellow students.

Whether you're struggling with chemistry or aiming for top marks, I'm committed to helping you achieve your goals through patience, encouragement, and personalized support.

About the lesson

My chemistry lessons are personalized to fit each student's learning style, pace, and academic goals. Before we begin, I'll identify the topics you find most challenging and create a plan that focuses on strengthening your understanding while building confidence.

During our sessions, I use clear, step-by-step explanations, diagrams, real-world examples, and practice questions to make difficult concepts easier to understand. Rather than encouraging memorization, I focus on helping students understand why concepts work so they can solve unfamiliar problems independently.

* Chemical equations and calculations
* Atomic structure, bonding, and periodic trends
* Stoichiometry, solutions, and other foundational chemistry topics

My lessons are interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and actively participate. By the end of each session, my goal is for students to leave with a stronger understanding of the material and greater confidence in their ability to succeed.
