About Ruby
I am a piano tutor with 6 years of experience teaching historical piano styles. I hold a BM in Sacred Music, specializing in piano and organ. My academic training gives me a deep understanding of technique, theory, and historical context. I also perform ragtime, stride, and early jazz piano. I teach both school-aged students and adult learners. Lessons focus on technique, musicality, and historical awareness. Improvisation is central to studying ragtime and jazz.
