About Hafsah
Hi! My name is Hafsah, and I am currently taking a gap year before I go on to Further Education, University.
I have been tutoring students prior to this, from various ages ranging from Year 2 to Year 11, including a child with autism. I enjoy explaining and analysing texts with students, giving them useful tips on how to learn, write essays and improve their work. I recently tutored a Year 11 student who was at a grade 6 in English Literature, who then progressed and achieved a grade 8 in her GCSE.
I like to adapt my teaching style to the students learning style, whether they are visual learners etc. When working with children who are in Primary School, I use flashcards and colouring in activities to help them learn their timestables. For the elder students, I like preparing my lessons with a powerpoint as students can always refer back to it after the lesson for additional guidance. I also further and solidfy their understanding by making them watch videos on the topic of study which then provides us with another source to refer back to.
In my GCSEs, I have achieved a grade 9 in English Literature ( equivalent to an A**) , grade 8 in English Language (A*), grade 8 (A*) in Religious studies at GCSE and a Grade A in Philosophy at A Levels. With my understanding and experience, I will help you learn and grow in your studies, resulting in a higher attained grade and a positive outlook on your studies. I am passionate to teach and hope you are passionate to learn!
