About Foster

My name is Foster Braden. I’m a multi-instrumentalist and yoga teacher from Asheville, North Carolina. I grew up always having a love and calling for music to create and fill the space with sound! Through my years growing up I spent many hours getting drum lessons, playing in school band, playing drums in our rock bands. My drumming journeys have led me to play with many amazing musicians in bands playing drum set and jhembe. Through my time playing in bands I picked up singing and guitar. I love to write songs, sing for life, and have music bring joy to life!

About the lesson

This music lesson is a journey, a journey of listening, remembering, playing, and having fun creating through authentic expression! And depending on where the student is at we will be applying foundation elements of music or if one has a musical background we will be exploring how to drop deeper into the present moment to go deeper with our music. We will be exploring percussion warms ups, fundamental beats, fills, listening, dynamics, infused with philosophy of the heart beat of life, our heart beats and how that can be expressed through drums
Guitar, I can offer guitar chord shapes, beginner music theory, scales, musical dynamics, funky and unique strumming patterns, prayer land medicine songs, and how to listen and jam along with others!
Singing
Vocal warm ups, exploring the range of one’s tone, hamming with instrument, induction to freestyle flow/ improve

Excellent! Foster was patient and encouraging. He created the lesson to meet my granddaughter where she was… and created the "homework" to be simple enough that she did it. Foster did a great job.
