About Candy

I am Candy, and I am a nurse in the NHS with experience in Prisons, Primary Care and School Nursing. I love to teach - even during my own nursing studies, I loved helping my classmates not just to pass their assignments, but to excel and get the best marks they had ever received. I enjoy being back in education, love reading essays, and excel at planning assignments, presentations, and PowerPoints.
As well as having a first class BSc in Adult Nursing, I have A levels in English Language, ICT, Critical Thinking and Philosophy.
I am overtly inclusive, so for my disabled and neurodivergent students, if you need any adjustments, I will do all I can to ensure I am accessible to you. For my LGBTQIA+2 students - I am a safe space, I will ensure your time with me is kind. And for my overseas and ESL students, I am happy to not only offer nursing support, but help with English, and help ground you in NICE and NMC policies ready for your working lives in our beautiful NHS!

About the lesson

My teaching style is calm, supportive and led by you! Rather than correcting work, I will help you understand how to approach your assignment, organise your ideas and meet those higher grades on the marking grid.

I have strong knowledge of the NMC Code, reflective models and research critique frameworks, and I will adapt each session to your university requirements and learning style. I am confident on PowerPoint, giving you presentations an extra edge, and have an art background for those posters and art led assignments you are stuck on.

Sessions are friendly, non-judgemental and structured around what you need most, whether that is planning an assignment, improving critical thinking, or simply gaining reassurance that you are on the right track.

Please note:
I do not write assignments for students. All support is educational, ethical and fully aligned with university and NMC expectations.

If you are feeling stuck, lacking confidence, or just need guidance from someone who understands nurse training, I would be very happy to support you.
