About Emily
I have just finished my A Levels at sixth form where I studied Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics and obtained 3 A*s. Next year, I will be starting undergraduate study in Engineering at university, and during my year out I am keen to help current Year 12 & 13 students who are studying to sit their exams in the coming years. Throughout my time at college, I volunteered in the department run maths workshop to offer extracurricular support to students in both first and second year, from which I have gained experience in teaching and tutoring.
In Further Maths, I studied Further Statistics 1 and Further Mechanics 1 along with an extra module for Further Mechanics 2. I am especially familiar with the Edexcel exam board for both Maths and Further Maths. For Physics, I studied for the AQA exam and took medical physics as my optional module in second year.

As a former student who has recently completed my A Levels, I have good knowledge of the exam board specification and have first hand experience of just how challenging these subjects can be! I am known for being approachable and friendly, and I am extremely enthusiastic in my approach to helping others progress. In my lessons I will offer specific tutoring to tackle areas of weakness along with consolidation tasks and tips to ensure that the material learnt in school and in my lessons is retained. Also, I strongly believe that it is beneficial to be familiar with the specification, so I will emphasise working alongside these documents and ways to include them into an effective long term study plan. Each person is unique so I will structure my lessons based on the style of learning that best fits you.
