About Lana
I am currently in my final year at school where I study chemistry, biology and psychology with A*A*A predicted. I am planning on taking a gap year and would love to utilise my time by helping others achieve the highest grades they can! I have past experience with teaching and dealing children as I volunteered at a youth club where I had the opportunity to teach Arabic for 2 years , therefore I do have experience in teaching and making lessons as enjoyable and beneficial as possible !

I am very flexible when it comes to methodology of teaching , and believe that it is very important to allow the student to dictate their own learning and tell me what they are unsure about. I believe that especially with sciences it is crucial that the student practises and applies their knowledge and understanding of topics and content through past paper questions. To simple put it , the more you do the better your exam technique will become and the more confident you become. Therefore during my lessons I can go through topics the student feels weak in or even go through the course chronologically with some active recall quizzes and notes and followed by plenty of exam questions which we can go through together as well as the student trying them independently. From experience I do believe that this is the best method to ensure high grades.

Lana is a great tutor ! She is very engaging, patient and organised . My daughter is currently in year 10 and she is struggling with chemistry . Lana has given her a few lessons and my daughter is a lot more confident and able in the topics she once found very difficult .
