About Jerry

Hello, my name is Jerry and I am a student at St Paul’s School. I am passionate about both mathematics and piano, and I enjoy helping others develop confidence and achieve their goals.

In piano, I am a prize winner at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and a finalist in the London Young Pianist category of the International Chopin Piano Competition. Through years of study, performance and competition experience, I have learned the importance of strong foundations, effective practice and attention to detail.

Alongside music, I have a strong interest in mathematics and consistently achieve high marks in top-set classes. Having recently gone through selective school entrance examinations and GCSE-level mathematics, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them.

I aim to create lessons that are supportive, engaging and tailored to each student’s needs, helping them make steady progress while enjoying the learning process.

About the lesson

I offer online lessons in Piano, 11+ Maths and GCSE Maths.

For piano, I am a prize winner at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and a finalist in the London Young Pianist category of the International Chopin Piano Competition. Lessons are tailored to each student and can focus on technique, musicality, performance preparation, sight-reading, exam preparation and effective practice methods.

For mathematics, I am a top-set student at St Paul’s School and consistently achieve marks above 95%. I help students build strong foundations, improve problem-solving skills and gain confidence with exam-style questions. I use a lot of questions from PMT, and students can tell me which topics they feel they need work on.

Lessons are typically 45-60 minutes long and are adapted to the student’s age, level and goals. My teaching style is patient, structured and focused on clear explanations so that students understand the main concepts rather than simply memorising methods.

I teach beginners to advanced pianists, as well as students preparing for 11+ and GCSE Mathematics examinations.
