Mark Lezter is a dedicated and approachable tutor who believes that every student has the ability to learn and improve with the right guidance, patience, and encouragement.

My Approach as a Tutor

Mark Lezter — As a tutor, I believe that effective learning goes beyond simply memorizing information. My goal is to make lessons understandable, engaging, and relevant to each student's needs. I focus on creating a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and develop confidence in their abilities.

My Teaching Method and Techniques

I use a **student-centered and interactive approach**. I first identify what the student already knows and which areas they find difficult. From there, I adjust my explanations and activities according to their learning pace and level.

My teaching techniques include:

* Breaking complex topics into simple, manageable concepts

5. Independent Practice — 10–15 minutes**
The student attempts similar problems or activities independently to demonstrate their understanding.

We discuss what was learned, identify areas that still need improvement, and summarize the key points.

The lesson structure can be adjusted depending on the student's needs, subject, and available time.

# What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

What sets me apart is my emphasis on **understanding rather than memorization**. I strive to explain lessons from the student's perspective and find different ways to communicate an idea when the first explanation does not work.

I also value patience, communication, and critical thinking. As someone with an interest in the Humanities and Social Sciences, I encourage students to understand not only *what* an answer is, but also *why* it is correct and how they can apply what they have learned.
