About Polly
Hi, I’m Polly! I’m 19 and currently studying Architecture at the University of Bath. I’ve always had a natural knack for Maths and genuinely enjoy working through problems and figuring out how things fit together.
I achieved an A in A-level Maths alongside A* and A grades in my two Art and Design subjects. Although I enjoyed my creative subjects, Maths was always something I particularly enjoyed because I liked the logic and problem-solving involved.
As an autistic student, I find it easy to break problems down into clear, organised steps and focus on exactly what a question is asking. I’d like to use this to help students who might understand the maths but struggle with knowing where to start, or who need things explained in a different way. My aim is to make Maths feel more manageable and help students build genuine confidence in their ability.

My approach to tutoring is based on the “rinse and repeat” method that I personally used throughout my A-level Maths. I found that repeatedly revisiting topics, breaking down difficult concepts and practising different types of questions helped me turn things I struggled with into skills I could confidently use in exams. I’ll work through topics with you step-by-step, identify where you’re struggling, and keep practising until the method feels natural. I also make use of past-paper questions to apply your knowledge in realistic exam situations, helping you build both understanding and confidence.
