About Mia
I’m a Recorder player and currently studying at Guildhall. I have played with the National Youth Recorder Orchestra, have been a soloist with the Baroque orchestra at Guildhall and have participated in international recorder competitions.
I am also a pianist and a cellist and have extensive experience as a chamber musician in small ensembles and larger orchestras. I have a Diploma in Recorder performance and a distinction in Grade 8 Music Theory. I am knowledgeable in all styles of music from Medieval to Baroque and from Renaissance to Contemporary - including electronics! I can help with your recorder playing skills, music theory, and general musicianship.

I can offer lessons from 30 to 60 minutes for students of all ages and abilities on either recorder or piano, whether it’s for you or your child. I have experience tutoring music pupils for the Hackney Music Service. I can adapt my teaching style for your needs, whether it be learning the syllabuses of the major exam boards, enhancing your musical skills for a future career, or if it’s just for fun! I am super passionate about the versatility of the recorder and here to enrich your interests.
I am very relaxed and I believe music should be accessible to everyone from a range of social class and ethnic backgrounds. Therefore, I can adapt my rate of fees on request with no stress! If you are interested or have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
