About Ridhi

I study Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Dundee. I adore my course for how it brings into sharp relief how the science we learn in the class determines the World around us, bringing a new level of depth to what you observe under a microscope. During A level and GCSE I had a voracious hunger for knowledge which meant I would frequently be found trying to understand advanced concepts. Thankfully, this curiousity was encouraged by my teachers at school. I am fully aware of the difference a good teacher can make to your outlook and interest in a topic, and want to help you improve your knowledge and understanding of topics. My primary goal is of course to help you with your content and test prep, but ultimately I want us to build up strategies for revision and further learning that will prove valuable throughout your education. Learning to learn so to speak, and encourage you to be the best student you can be.

About the lesson

Hello! I am Ridhi and I'm offering to hold 1 hour lessons (though the length is negotiable to your comfort level) at a GCSE level for Maths, Sciences and English Literature/Language.
I want to help you not only get good grades, but understand the skills needed to achieve them, and help nurture a genuine interest in your studies. We'll tackle issues from two sides, helping you see how the content works and showing how to communicate concepts in a scoring way so you can net those crucial marks.
Your basics need to be rock solid so be prepared for me to continually ask for basic definitions, or summarise the importance behind a theme! We'll start our classes taking note of where you feel unsure and walk our way through, referring to the specification as we go. When you understand the concept, I'll keep some practice questions on the screen, so we can see how you have progressed. I make sure to reserve time at the end to talk through any extra questions that pop up during our review.
You can send any questions or topics you find difficult a day or two in advance, so I can make sure I can have a high-quality session with you. I'm available to proofread essays or practice questions, and whatever else you may need.
