About Eva
I am a first-year student at the University of Oxford, and I always knew I wanted to study English there. My enthusiasm for literature developed over my time at secondary school, where I was lucky to have phenomenal English teachers who have influenced me greatly in wanting to support and inspire other students. I ensure that progress is measurable and meaningful, tailored to specific needs to maximise the benefits of each session. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but to help them develop into confident, independent thinkers. Since I only left the school system recently, I truly understand the need to create a calm and encouraging work environment. For me, feeling comfortable to ask questions and tackle new challenges head-on was of utmost importance during my years at school, and I'm committed to creating this setting for all of my students.

I tutor online, as this allows for flexibility for both the student and myself. Lesson length can be tailored to your needs but I would recommend hour-long slots to maximise productivity and content coverage. I have experience as a part-time teaching assistant at a prep school, and as a foreign-language intern teaching English in Germany, and I will bring skills from these jobs to my work as a new tutor. I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential, whether this be working towards exams, wanting to challenge themselves outside the classroom, or improving their skills more generally. I tutor GCSE level (years 9, 10 & 11), or for wider practice of literacy and reading I can tutor from year 7 upwards.
