About Kavya
I am a student at the University of Queensland and I'm looking for any job I can get to help me get through uni in Australia. I am fluent in English and wish to be able to help anyone who is struggling with the language so that they can get better and have someone to practice speaking and listening with. I'm also open to teaching grammar, literature, and poetry to those who need it. I remember being in school working on deciphering the various literary devices used by authors. I hope to make learning fun by brainstorming literary devices.

The process of learning a new language is one that differs a lot from person to person that depends on a number of factors that include languages that you already know, how often you are exposed to the language that you wish to learn and the amount of time you spend actually learning the language and then implementing what you learned in your day-to-day life. Learning English with me would mean: 1) Learning the basics if you don't already know the basics. 2) Spending time learning new words/phrases/idioms per once a week. 3) Implementing the words or phrases the coming week during our speaking sessions where we dedicate around half an hour at the very least every day just speaking in English so that we can get used to the language and communicate better. 4) Watching TED talks and entertainment shows that will help us better understand the ways in which we can present ourselves when we speak and keep up to date with today's slang.
