About the lesson

I heavily implement critical thinking, active recall, and spaced repetition in my lessons, as I have seen this strategy work for my tutees. A typical length of a lesson would be 1 hour. Specifically, I believe stock pitching is a great way to learn and explore different industries.

I study with Alton. He always tackles problems in a logical and methodical way: when physical chemistry is of concern, he always explains the problem from a physics-based perspective, enhancing the understanding of the problem in question.

Seeing as I do IB standard level chemistry, I am constantly asking Alton for help. I struggle a lot but he is incredibly patient and also has a unique and fun way of making the content engaging. My grades have greatly improved and I now understand concepts much better thanks to his expertise and explanations.

I have known Alton Wong for about 6 years now. He once tutored a friend of mine in Chemistry, and managed to improve his performance by two letter grades in one month. He has a good teaching style that explains concepts thoroughly and quickly. He has a lot of experience in the Chemistry Higher Level course in the IB, and he has taken part in many competitions. I highly recommend Alton Wong as a tutor.
