First, I like to do a lot of mixed-skills. For example, writing class will also include a fair amount of discussion, debate, and conversation, grammar concepts will be paired with activities to practice the concept and allow a lot of speaking, speaking topics will use target language and target grammar, etc. Second, I treat all students as clients (I worked in industry for several years before becoming a teacher) so I really focus on delivering to the student what they want. Finally, I am very friendly, and I am quite skillful at explaining concepts in ways that are clear and logical (I will even draw cute pictures to illustrate language concepts).
