About Valters

I have been teaching Sanskrit for 7 years to both the general public and university students willing to improve their Sanskrit. I am also happy to consult yoga teachers and practitioners on improving their Sanskrit as relevant to their teaching and practice.

About the lesson

I hold a DPhil in Sanskrit from the University of Oxford. My doctoral thesis was on ascetic and yogic practices and ideologies in the Mahabharata. I have studied Sanskrit at SOAS, University of London and at the University of Oxford, and I have been teaching Sanskrit since 2017. I will be happy to work with university students as well as adult learners. My preferred Sanskrit textbook for beginners is the Devavanipravesika due to its clarity although I am happy to follow any other book if preferred by the student.
