About Dylan
With 10 years of drumming behind me and a Master’s in Music Performance, I teach with both passion and professionalism. I’ve toured internationally and performed with various ensembles. These experiences shape my lessons and help me teach real-world musicianship. My students learn not only how to play drums but how to play music. I emphasise timing, dynamics, and expressive performance. Students develop strong technical foundations through progressively structured lessons. I support learners in building both speed and control. I incorporate diverse musical styles to keep lessons interesting. My teaching environment is relaxed, supportive, and energising.
I believe that confidence is essential for every musician. That’s why I help students celebrate their progress, no matter how small. My lessons develop discipline without feeling overwhelming. I assign practical, achievable practice plans. Students also learn how to listen critically and improve independently. I love helping aspiring drummers refine their voice behind the kit. Your growth and enjoyment are my top priorities.

My drum lessons are perfect for beginners and anyone looking to develop confidence and skill in a supportive environment. I start with the basics, including rhythm understanding, hand coordination, stick control, timing, and simple grooves, while gradually introducing more complex techniques. Each lesson is designed to be approachable, fun, and interactive, with exercises, play-alongs, and songs to keep students motivated. I focus on helping students develop good practice habits, set achievable goals, and track their progress step by step. Creativity, self-expression, and musical exploration are encouraged at every stage, helping learners feel comfortable experimenting with rhythms and patterns.
I provide personalised guidance to ensure students progress steadily, whether they want to play for fun, join a band, or explore drumming further. Lessons emphasise listening, rhythm awareness, and practical skills for playing with others. Students gain confidence, discipline, and a strong foundation that prepares them for more advanced techniques later. Drumming becomes a source of enjoyment, self-expression, and accomplishment. Each session is designed to be engaging, productive, and deeply rewarding, helping learners fall in love with music while developing real skill.
