About Drew
I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with a strong academic background in physics and mathematics. Currently in the Astronomy and Physics specialization program at the University of Toronto as a first-year undergraduate. I am considering a job in university-level teaching as a professor. I have acquired genuine passion for physics and its related fields and am always sharing my love for it with my students. I am a patient teacher who values clear explanations and above all else: intuitive explanations. I strive to better my way of teaching every day and I always invite feedback or constructive criticism. Every student learns differently and it's important for them to have opportunities to truly grow.

I focus on building a true understanding of concepts rather than just memorization. My lessons are as interactive as possible and I tailor them to each student’s strengths and weaknesses. I have different techniques for students with different goals whether it's preparing for an upcoming test, improving grades, or developing a deep foundation for future university courses. My sessions usually start with identifying problem areas through guided questions, then breaking down topics into simple, intuitive explanations. I use real-world examples (especially in physics and math) to make abstract ideas clear and simple to understand, and I encourage students to explain concepts back to me to reinforce learning. What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to different learning styles. I can simplify material for beginners or challenge advanced students who want to go beyond their school curriculum. My tutoring is best suited for high school students in physics, functions, advanced functions or calculus.
