About Emmett
Hi, I’m Iris! I’m an Operations Manager and Business Owner, but teaching has always been a part of me. For over 10 years, I’ve helped people learn English in real, meaningful ways—whether through informal lessons, volunteering, or simply supporting those around me. At my job, I volunteer to teach ESL, and I’ve worked with people from many different cultures and backgrounds. No matter where someone is in their English journey, I take genuine pride in making lessons enjoyable, empowering, and unforgettable. I believe learning a language isn’t just about words—it’s about connection, confidence, and feeling understood. I teach English in a natural and easy way using comprehensible input. But speaking is just as important as listening! That’s why you will spend at least 50% of our lesson speaking and practicing.
Don’t worry if you are a beginner. We will start at your level and improve step by step. My lessons focus on real-life English, not just textbook learning. I can help you prepare for tests, but speaking English at work is different from school. My teaching will help you communicate with confidence anywhere—and it might even improve your native language too!
