About Surajit
I am an enthusiastic Biology educator with a strong academic and research background in Life Sciences. I hold an M.Sc. in Botany with specialization in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry and am currently in the final stage of my Ph.D. at the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Guwahati, under AcSIR. My research experience spans Virology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Nanobiotechnology, and Sericulture Biotechnology, giving me a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of Biology. I am passionate about teaching and believe that good education should build understanding, curiosity, and confidence rather than rely only on memorization. I teach students from school and higher-secondary levels to undergraduate and graduate levels, adapting my approach to their individual needs and learning pace. I offer both online and home tuition and strive to create a friendly, professional, and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing a genuine interest in Biology.

My teaching approach is concept-based, practical, and student-friendly. I use simple explanations, scientifically accurate facts, real-life examples, diagrams, and practical applications to help students understand Biology rather than simply memorize it. I especially focus on connecting theory with practicality, explaining not only what happens but also why and how it happens in real life. A typical class begins with a quick discussion or revision of the previous topic, followed by the introduction and explanation of the new concept, real-life examples or practical applications, and an interactive question-and-answer session to check understanding. I adapt my teaching style according to the student’s level, learning pace, and academic goals. My research experience in Life Sciences also allows me to introduce students to interesting scientific discoveries and examples beyond the textbook. My classes are suitable for school students, higher-secondary students, and undergraduate/graduate-level learners who want to strengthen their concepts, improve their academic performance, and develop a genuine interest in Biology. Whether online or through home tuition, my aim is to make Biology clear, interesting, logical, and connected to the real world.
