I believe the three most important ingredients for successful music lessons are fun, flexibility and faithfulness. It is important to me that each student has fun, feels understood and accepted. Lessons are a time to collaborate, create, and find new inspirations through music in order to develop lifelong skills. Each lesson is flexible, adapting to the needs of the students to develop skills and learn pieces that are important to them rather than teaching solely from a methodology book. To ensure the highest rate of success students, teachers and parents must have the same level of commitment to lessons remaining faithful to the lesson time and practice routines.

Payton has been teaching 3 of my children violin and viola for over 1 year. She has always been dependable, patient and able to adapt her lessons for the variety of ages, skill levels and personalities in our family. She is excellent at communicating regarding lessons as well as homework and expectations. I highly recommend Payton.
