About Purva
I have been teaching singing for five years, working with students aged five to sixty from a range of backgrounds and abilities. This experience has taught me how to adapt my communication, lesson structure and teaching approach to suit each individual. I can use both visual imagery and anatomical knowledge depending on how a student learns best!
I teach because I love helping singers understand their voices and become more confident in their abilities. My aim is to make vocal technique accessible and practical while encouraging every student to become a more expressive and comfortable performer.

Hi! I’m Purva, a vocalist and singing teacher currently completing a Bachelor of Music in Musicology at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
I have trained and performed across musical theatre, contemporary pop and Western classical singing. I have also completed a Certificate of Attendance in Estill Voice Training Levels 1 and 2, and have studied linguistics, phonetics and vocal function. This allows me to explain singing in a practical and anatomically informed way, rather than relying on vague instructions.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual voice, experience and goals. We can work on vocal technique, breath and airflow, resonance, registers, confidence, musical interpretation, audition preparation and repertoire. I aim to create a supportive environment where students can explore their voices safely, understand how they work and become more confident performers.
All lessons will be 30 minutes for $60.
