About Christian Rhey
Hi! I’m Christian Rhey Mamaril, a BSED undergraduate student with a passion for education and helping others learn the Filipino language.
I’m a patient, friendly, and approachable tutor who believes that learning Tagalog should feel comfortable and practical. I enjoy helping learners understand Filipino words, expressions, pronunciation, and everyday conversations through simple explanations and relatable examples.
As a BSED student, I’m continuously developing my communication and teaching skills while gaining experience in creating learner-focused activities. I adjust my lessons according to each student’s level, learning pace, and goals.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, traveler, international student, or someone interested in Filipino language and culture, I’ll do my best to make every lesson clear, engaging, and useful in real-life situations.

Teaching Approach
I believe that learning Tagalog should be practical, comfortable, and engaging. As a BSED undergraduate, I use a patient and student-centered approach, adjusting my lessons based on the learner’s level, goals, and pace.
My lessons combine conversation practice, vocabulary building, pronunciation, grammar, reading, and everyday Filipino expressions. I encourage students to participate actively instead of simply memorizing words. I also use simple examples and real-life situations to help learners understand how Tagalog is naturally used.
Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a short review of the previous topic, followed by an introduction to new vocabulary or grammar. We then practice through conversations, examples, reading activities, or short exercises. The lesson ends with a review and a brief activity to check the learner’s understanding.
What Sets Me Apart
What makes my approach different is my patience and willingness to adapt. I understand that every learner has a different pace, so I create a supportive environment where students can ask questions and practice without feeling pressured. My goal is not only to teach Tagalog, but to help students become more comfortable using it in real conversations.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are suitable for beginners, international students, travelers, foreign learners interested in Filipino culture, and anyone who wants to improve their basic Tagalog communication skills. Lessons can be adjusted depending on whether the student wants to focus on speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, reading, or everyday conversation.
