About Talia

Hi, I'm Talia, a dedicated pre-dental student at Tarleton University with a strong academic background in math and chemistry. I understand the challenges students face because I actively work through the same material at a high level, which allows me to explain concepts in a clear and relatable way.
I take pride in being professional, patient, and well-prepared for every session. My goal is not only to help students understand the material, but also to build their confidence and improve their performance on assignments and exams. I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor focuses on breaking down complex math and chemistry concepts into clear, step-by-step processes that are easy to understand and apply on exams. I prioritize the “textbook method” so students can confidently earn full points on quizzes and tests. A typical lesson starts with a quick review of key concepts, followed by guided practice where I walk through problems step-by-step. Then, students try similar problems independently while I provide feedback and corrections. I also include tips on avoiding common mistakes and improving problem-solving speed.
What sets me apart is my structured, organized teaching style and my focus on helping students not just understand the material, but perform well academically. My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and early college students taking math or chemistry courses who want clear explanations and better test results.
