About Sumia
When you choose a chemistry tutor, you deserve someone with genuine academic expertise, professionalism, and a passion for helping students succeed. I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Kansas State University, along with a master’s degree in Chemistry from Western Illinois University, and I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Newman University.
My experience extends beyond the classroom into scientific research, including published work in chemistry and nanobiosensor research. I believe that every student can improve in chemistry with the right guidance, patience, and consistent practice. My goal is not simply to help you get through an exam, it is to help you understand the material, think like a scientist, and become confident in your own abilities.
You can feel confident knowing that your sessions are grounded in real academic and research experience. I am committed to creating a professional, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where questions are always welcome and your progress is the priority.
