About Bongi
I am an English educator with a strong academic background in Language Practice and Education, holding a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Johannesburg as well as an Advanced Diploma and Diploma in Language Practice from Tshwane University of Technology. I have practical teaching experience from Musi Comprehensive High School and Emshukantambo High School, where I delivered engaging lessons, managed classroom behavior, and supported learners through effective feedback and assessment. I also completed an internship with Africa Foundation at JJ Matsane Primary School, where I worked as an Echo Steward teaching Natural Science and Life Skills. I am passionate about creating inclusive and engaging learning environments, using modern teaching approaches, and helping learners achieve academic success. I am multilingual, speaking English, isiZulu, Xitsonga, siSwati, and Setswana, which allows me to connect with diverse students. I became interested in teaching because I enjoy helping learners build confidence, improve their communication skills, and develop a lifelong love for learning.

I focus on making my English lessons by emphasizing real communication rather than just theory, helping learners build the confidence to speak naturally in everyday situations. I use simple, practical methods that allow students to understand and apply English quickly, without feeling overwhelmed by rules. I also create a supportive and interactive environment where mistakes are seen as part of learning, not something to fear. I tailor my lessons to each learner’s needs, so they can improve at their own pace and focus on the skills they struggle with most. My goal is to help every student not only learn English, but also feel comfortable and confident using it in real life.
