About Jakub

I've been programming since I was sixteen. I built the first program in Turbo Pascal to have my own dictionary for learning English. I learned programming from my dad. I teach in three languages: Polish, English and Spanish.

For 15 years I have earned a lot of money programming and I know that you can still earn a lot of money with Ruby, and certainly learn object-oriented programming well. I like to teach beginners and intermediate people, both those who are on other programming courses and do not know the material, as well as those who learn it in schools or colleges.

About the lesson

I am happy to hear feedback from my students! First of all, during the session I listen, because everyone sees programming differently. I watch where who starts and where they go. Only then do we prepare a common goal and action plan.

As your teacher, I will show you a way of programming that will be useful both in personal projects and in possible teamwork. This way is test-based development.

While I enjoy programming in the immortal Vim editor myself, VSCode allows for easy remote collaboration. We can host our projects on GitHub, so if you are unfamiliar with the git file versioning tool, I will teach you how to use it (at a fairly quick stage, it is an essential skill in the work of a programmer).

We can learn in different ways, through a jointly invented application, or on a lot of tasks that you do on a course or at school. An example of such an application is a spaceship controller that, depending on the signal sent, moves around Mars. We can also write a system that simulates the operation of a gas station! As you will see from my posts, I love this example!

Remember that programming is not only coding. It is also algorithmic thinking, planning, working with specifications, sketching ideas (I recommend the Excalidraw tool) and solving problems of interaction with the client, boss, team or user.

Perfect! Jakub jest świetnym nauczycielem. Przykłada wagę do tego, aby uczeń opanował podstawy i ruszył do przodu. W bardzo fajny sposób tłumaczy materiał. Przykłada się do zajęć, bardzo fajnie się z nim pracuje. Jest słowny w sprawach formalnych i ma dryg do programowania. Nie rozkłada rąk, ale cierpliwie próbuje podejść problem na kilka sposobów. A to niezbędna cecha programisty.

Kuba ma duszę prawdziwego nauczyciela. Potrafi tłumaczyć abstrakcyjne pojęcia z użyciem konkretych i prostych przykładów z życia wziętych i robi to dostosowując je do poziomu ucznia.
