About Anastasia Stacey

In 2020, I started my second master's degree in Educational Technology at the University of Tartu (the first one at the University of Manchester in Edtech and TESOL had been completed in 2022) and accidentally discovered that it was also possible to obtain a microdegree in teaching Estonian as a Second Language to Adults. It seemed interesting, so I completed all the compulsory subjects that were in the microdegree program and took several additional courses with Estonian majors. During my studies, I found a job - I started working as a teacher of Estonian as a foreign language to adults. In half a year, my first group was ready and passed the B1 level exam. After that more groups followed. So far I have taught quite a number of Estonian learners, most of whom have studied for exams (A2, B1 or B2). I would be very happy to help you, too.

I have been teaching Estonian as a second language for a little over three years. This is my second specialism (major), the first being Teaching English as a Second Language. Most of my students have been adults or high school students so far. I have helped them study for Estonian language proficiency level exams (A2, B1 and B2). This year I also have a C1 level group, but they are planning to sit their exam in autumn only.

If you are interested in a longer preparation course (1 term/semester or longer) and 3-6 hours per week, please ask for a 40+ lesson package (you will get a discount).
